Extreme Networks Wi-Fi 7 — Enterprise Wireless Access
TopTel Türkiye is the authorized distributor of Extreme Networks in Türkiye. We deliver Extreme Wi-Fi 7 access points with coverage planning, solution design and QPS engineering support.
What is Extreme Networks Wi-Fi 7?
Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be, Extremely High Throughput) is the latest wireless standard, designed for higher speeds, lower latency and more consistent performance in dense environments. Extreme Networks' Wi-Fi 7 access points operate in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands and bring capabilities such as 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) to campus and enterprise environments.
With Extreme's Universal Hardware approach, the same access point can be adapted to different deployment scenarios by changing its software and feature set. Devices are managed through ExtremeCloud IQ or Extreme Platform ONE, from the cloud or on premises. The AP4020 and AP5020 are examples of Extreme's indoor Wi-Fi 7 access points.
Key capabilities
- Wi-Fi 7 features: 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM modulation and MLO, which uses multiple links at the same time.
- Built-in security sensor: a dedicated sensor radio that continuously monitors the wireless environment and works with Extreme AirDefense.
- IoT-ready: dual IoT radios for sensors, electronic shelf labels, lighting and asset tracking.
- PoE redundancy: built-in PoE failover keeps mission-critical connectivity running.
- ExtremeCloud IQ: wired, wireless, SD-WAN, IoT and fabric management, with public cloud, private cloud and ExtremeCloud Edge hosting options.
- AIOps: AI-assisted, proactive detection of network issues through ExtremeCloud IQ.

Frequently asked questions
How does Wi-Fi 7 differ from Wi-Fi 6?
Wi-Fi 7 targets higher speeds and more consistent performance in dense environments through capabilities such as 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM modulation and Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which can use multiple links simultaneously. Client devices also need Wi-Fi 7 support to take full advantage of these gains.
How are Extreme Wi-Fi 7 access points managed?
The access points are managed through ExtremeCloud IQ or Extreme Platform ONE, from the cloud or on premises. ExtremeCloud IQ offers public cloud, private cloud and ExtremeCloud Edge hosting options.
Can the 6 GHz band be used in Türkiye?
Conditions for using the 6 GHz band vary by country regulation. Because Extreme Wi-Fi 7 access points also operate in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, a radio configuration that fits current conditions in Türkiye is defined during solution design.
Will my existing Wi-Fi 6 devices connect to a Wi-Fi 7 network?
Yes. Wi-Fi 7 access points are backward compatible with earlier Wi-Fi generations. Wi-Fi 6 and older clients continue to connect, while Wi-Fi 7 specific capabilities apply to Wi-Fi 7 capable devices.
