The primary distinction lies in thermal efficiency and the compute density supported within a single rack. • Liquid-Cooled GIGAPOD: Uses Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) to manage the high TDP of next-generation chips. By removing heat directly at the source, it enables much higher rack density and superior PUE, maintaining sustained peak performance without thermal throttling. • Air-Cooled GIGAPOD: Optimized for traditional data centers using conventional airflow without liquid-cooling infrastructure. While supporting lower power density, it is engineered for maximum reliability and easy integration into existing facilities.
